Model Analysis of Steel Frame Structures Considering Interactions between Racks and the Frame

چکیده
The steel racks on the floor are seen as live loads in current design process, ignoring interaction with supporting frames. In this paper, multiple different masses and stiffnesses placed first of a two-story main structure to form real structures (RS). corresponding simplified (SS) frames mass concentrated structure. Modal analysis is performed analyze relationship between periods RS SS cross-aisle direction. Firstly, beams assumed be infinitely rigid. rack TRk, TSS, TRS under ratios α established, an accurate equation relating TRk TSS proposed. Moreover, by considering influence finite beam stiffness, studied constructing models. effect reflected combined system consisting racks. A modified model, distinguished from no-mass racks, constructed study strengthening first-floor beams. top connecting bars also analyzed.

This paper combines particle swarm optimization, grid search method and univariate method as a general optimization approach for any type of problems emphasizing on optimum design of steel frame structures. The new algorithm is denoted as the GSU-PSO. This method attempts to decrease the search space and only searches the space near the optimum point. To achieve this aim, the whole search space...
متن کاملNEW RCS Frame Connection in Structures
Hybrid moment frame come together with reinforced concrete columns with structural steel beams (RCS). This Composite system provides several key advantages over current steel or concrete moment resisting frame. Past studies have shown this system to be efficient in both design and building stage while able to keep sufficient strength and necessary ductility in seismic zone.Although past researc...
متن کاملEffect of Fling-Step on Seismic Response of Steel Eccentrically Braced Frame Structures
Fling-step and forward directivity are two important characteristics of near-field earthquakes. Forward directivity occurs when the rupture propagates toward the site and arises in fault‐normal direction for strike‐slip faults. Fling-step is the consequence of permanent ground displacement imposed by near-field earthquakes and arises in strike-slip faults in the strike parallel direction. Fling...
متن کاملAnalysis and Design of Steel-Concrete Composite Frame Systems
The lack of clear guidance regarding the value of elastic flexural rigidity (EI) that should be used in the analysis of steel-concrete composite columns is a significant unresolved issue that hinders the design of frame systems that include these members. The common approach of utilizing the rigidity of either the steel or the concrete only tends to be overly conservative. Other approaches that...
